NEW YORK (Monitoring Desk) President Trump has told the world about the malaria drug hydroxy chloroquine that it is proving effective for coronary virus patients. Thereafter, several countries conducted trials of the drug and stopped using it when the effects were severe. Now this drug has been tested in the United States itself and has had very sad results. According to Mail Online, American experts have found that if corona virus patients are given hydroxy chloroquine, they are at increased risk of death from the virus.
In this study, experts from the US National Institutes of Health tried to treat 368 patients with hydroxy chloroquine and placed the same number of patients on the standard method of corona virus treatment, using 'support IV fluids' and 'intubation'. This is done to make the patient easier to breathe. As a result, 28% of the patients who were given hydroxy chloroquine died.
In contrast, only 11% of the standard treatment group died. In addition, this study did not reveal any other benefit of the drug, but revealed many more disadvantages, that the disease causes heart disease and other disorders in people.
