Corona patients and Anesthesia
Until now, the world has been unable to control the coronation of Corona - the outbreak that has hampered other businesses, has had a double impact on the health sector, and suddenly doctors and other medical staff are exposed to a similar illness. It has been reported that with no treatment available, this dangerous and life-threatening patient is at risk of becoming more easily diagnosed with therapeutics - protective clothing and equipment that can provide protection in this regard are now available worldwide and in particular. Is successful in low-income countries and the World Health Organization looks helpless in this regard - on the other hand Patients who are desperately in need of medical help are unable to reach the hospital due to the outbreak, and even if they reach the hospital in some way, the medical staff may not receive proper attention and necessary medical attention due to severe engagement.
The virus spreads easily through invisible and invisible extracts from the body through the mouth and breath - thus all medical staff may suffer from the disease but the Anaesthesia staff and the doctor are the most Many are at risk of this - because their duties include respiratory drainage and ventilator delivery through artificial respiration - breathing and mouth squeezing throughout the process are very easy for medical providers. And in the absence of appropriate protective clothing and equipment, Anaesthesia doctors may suffer from this virus. In addition, if the ventilator does not have the necessary protective equipment installed, the virus can survive and reach out to patients in the future - in this regard, all necessary Anaesthesia doctors and other physicians on an emergency basis. Is very important to reach across the country -
According to experts, this training can be divided into two parts:
1- Protective clothing and accessories
2- Operation theater and ventilator protection
Protective Clothing & Accessories:
1- The special mask worn on the mouth and nose in the most important protective clothing required for all staff who are providing medical assistance in any way is called "N1" - the highlight of this mask is its Inside is a very fine filter that prevents all viral particles from entering the body through the breath - this mask comes in different shapes and sizes and is chosen in terms of facial texture - on the face of the beard. Hair can affect its fitting and performance - so it may be necessary to cut the beard periodically to protect its life - if in any case If not used due to facial texture, then a device called "PAPR" will be needed - this device is expensive and difficult to use and its availability is not guaranteed in Pakistan.
2- The complete covering of the eyes and face is available in many types of shield and any design can be used for all staff.
3- Gowns and gloves are a must for protective clothing and it is better to wear two layers of gloves - all this preparation is called "Donning & Doffing" - a process in the operation theater. Must be space specific - and YouTube's instructions are in the form of a movie and all staff must watch them at least twice in full attention - a link to one of the hundreds of videos available below.
Operation theater and ventilator protection:
All the staff who will be in the operation theater to assist you should be discussed in detail about all the steps so that everyone can know your plan and work for all team members. So that everyone can do their part - and before bringing the patient to the theater of operation, make sure all necessary medicines and devices are available and ready to be used.
1- All staff who are providing medical help to a corona virus patient should secure their mobile phone and other personal items in advance so that they are not likely to be touched.
2- The installation of "hepa filter" (HEPA) on all ventilators is mandatory, otherwise the virus can survive in the patients coming back inside the machine - hepaa filter particles larger than 3.5 microns With the ability to withstand up to 1.5% - hence the presence of this filter is essential for the protection of the ventilator.
3- Whenever a coronary artery is intended to be inhaled, this procedure must be performed in an operation theater or hospital room where the air-tight system is with "negative pressure" - thus any germs enter the air. They cannot go out of the room and the staff and patients in the other rooms will be safe.
4- If the negative pressure ventilation system is not available in the operation theater, then the door of the operation theater should be closed for fifteen minutes after breathing, so that the visible and invisible stitches in the air are removed. Safety measures must be taken even after the drainage of the respiratory tract at the end of the surgery - and as previously mentioned, the same applies to the received LMA - on the other hand a hospital room where the airway system Patients who are not present can be even more dangerous to hospital staff and equipment - hence the Corona Wire
