Amazon vice president resigns over company layoffs
California (Web Desk) - Tim Bray, vice president of the American technology multinational Amazon, resigned in protest at the employee layoffs. Tim Bray is one of the leading software engineers. He confirmed in a statement that he had quit his job at Amazon and that he had taken this drastic step only because his former company had laid off several employees.
Amazon has laid off six of its key employees in recent weeks. There are reports that these employees had asked the company questions about not taking precautionary measures due to the coronavirus, but as a result, they lost their jobs.
In a blog post, Tim Bray criticised Amazon officials, saying the company's legitimacy made them laugh. I resign for the dismissal of employees. Last Friday was my last day on Amazon. Remember that Tim Bray has been with Amazon for the past five years. He previously held key positions at Google and Sun Microsystems.
