Corona poses threat of armed confrontation between China and US: Chinese intelligence report to government

A secret Chinese report told the government that mounting tensions between China and the United States over the coronavirus could turn into an armed confrontation.

According to the British news agency Reuters, a secret report was presented to top Chinese leaders, including President Xi Jinping, in early March, warning that the growing enmity with the United States by Corona could turn into an armed confrontation. Perhaps this is why Beijing needs to be alert and prepared.

According to the news agency, the report was prepared by a group of experts and the Chinese Institute for International Relations (CIICIR). A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said it did not have the relevant information.

The report says that anti-China sentiment in Tiananmen Square in 1989 sparked anti-China sentiment across the world, with the Corona virus the first time that anti-China sentiment has increased. Because of Corona, China also faces strong opposition from the United States, and given these circumstances, the government must be prepared for an armed confrontation with the United States.
