According to the security firm mentioned above, the data sold includes URLs of personal meetings, e-mail addresses, passwords and host cases through which hackers can join a meeting at any time.
Following the disclosure, a Zoom spokesperson stated that such actions are common on various websites, so it will not affect users who follow the principle of single sign-in, but these users may be at risk. Which use the same email and password for accounts on many platforms.
In this regard, the US National Security Agency has earlier warned that the same information should not be used for separate accounts on different platforms. In 2108, the agency said in a statement that if your account was hacked on one of the platforms, and you have allocated the email and password with the same account to other accounts, then all your accounts and their All information is at risk.
Zoom says the company has hired several intelligence firms to prevent such operations, and consumers have been cautiously instructed to change their passwords. The hacked accounts include not only individual accounts, but also accounts of large companies, one of which is the US financial institution Citibank.
