New Family Pairing Tricks in TikTok
Social Media TikTok has introduced a feature called "Family Peering" to protect young people from online threats.
According to a company statement, more and more families are using the Internet platform, such as TikTok, to stay entertained, stay informed and stay in touch.
The statement said that the removal of the new coronavirus has intensified with the outbreak of thaumatorrhoea, and that the social distance has brought the family closer and therefore introducing such a tool to ensure a safer experience.
Through a tool called Family Pairing, parents and young people are provided with safety settings tailored to their individual needs, which will help parents guide their young children.
In addition to family pairings, the company has already introduced various features for its users, such as educational safety videos, top ten tips, parenteral guides, according to the company.
The Family Pairing Tool will be available to consumers in the next few weeks, with help from parents who can control their TikTok account from KidsCounts and set controls on the jail cell.
"Screen time management" (parents will be able to determine how much time their children can spend on TikTok daily).
Restricted Mode (this will prevent inappropriate content from appearing on the children's feed).
Direct Messages (With this new tool, parents can determine which messages can be sent to their children's accounts, can be restricted, or direct messaging can be completely turned off).
Earlier, the video-sharing app TikTok has banned its direct messages from users 16 and younger.
