The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan is now accepting applications for the Fulbright Student 2021 PhD program and the Fulbright-Higher Education Commission (HEC), which fully funds study at leading American universities. .

For Master Students 

Applicants for the master's degree must have a four-year bachelor's degree or a combination of bachelor's and master's degrees with a total of 16 years of formal education at an accredited university. New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, with the exception of MBA and public order / administration candidates who need 2 years of work experience.

For PhD Students 


For the doctoral program, eligible candidates must have a Master, M.Phil or a comparable diploma (a minimum of 18 years of formal education) from an accredited university. It is highly desirable that applicants have work experience in education, research or the public sector in Pakistan.


How to Apply


A complete application package contains:
One application form Three letters of reference Your GRE assessment report and your digitized certificates, including an explanation of the grading scale of the university issuing the diploma, must be downloaded. Please note that HEC-certified documents are preferable with the request, but the diploma certified by the issuing authority and the transcripts are acceptable at the time of the request.

USEFP Fulbright Eligibility Criteria 

Pakistani citizens, residing and working in Pakistan, with solid academic backgrounds in all disciplines except clinical medicine are invited to apply.
In addition to academic work, those selected for Fulbright programs are expected to share information about Pakistani life and culture with their American colleagues and with community groups in the United States. Upon their return to Pakistan, Fulbright Fellows should share their American experiences with their colleagues and the community groups in Pakistan. Successful applicants must be ready to assume leadership positions in their field and must agree to return and serve Pakistan.

USEFP Fulbright Eligibility Criteria 


• People with dual American / Pakistani nationality or those who have a spouse, parent, fiancé or child over 18 who is a US citizen or permanent resident.
• Employees of the Fulbright organization or the United States Department of State and their spouses, fiancés, brothers and sisters, dependents, children and parents. For programs funded by their agencies, USAID or HEC employees and their spouses, fiancés, brothers and sisters, dependents, children and parents.
• Generally, preference for Fulbright student opportunities will be given to applicants who have not previously received a Fulbright scholarship.
• People who are already studying in the United States or with a work / residence visa in any country.
